The Farrelly brothers Rosemary’s Baby remake gets the green light as news spread that Pineapple Express director, David Gordon Green is to direct a new Exorcist trilogy.

As an unusual genre for the Farrelly brothers Rosemary’s Baby remake will star Amy Adams as Rosemary (previously played by Mia Farrow) and Jon Hamm as Guy (previously played by Nick Cassavetes).

The Farrelly Brothers Rosemary’s Baby

The Farrellys told The Exec,  ‘We’re huge fans of Polanski’s films. Uumm… up to and including Chinatown. But nothing after that. Y’know what I talking about. And we always thought we would be a perfect fit to bring Rosemary’s story to a new generation. We will tell her story with compassion and sensitivity. Oh, and a whole heap of fart gags.’

Shallow Hell

‘We’ve got a great supporting cast lined up and ready to go. We have Kirstie Alley in the Ruth Gordon role. We’re very proud to announce we have Kevin James on board as Satan. He just brings so much class and heft to any role he plays. From The King Of Queens where he pulled funny faces and fell over a lot, to Paul Blart Mall Cop, where he pulled funny faces and fell over a lot. The man’s a comic genius.’

THE FARRELLY BROTHERS TO MAKE MOVIE OF GOP CONVENTION

HOLLYWOOD – The Farrelly Brothers are to return to gross out comedy with a film based on the 22016 GOP convention.

The team who brought us Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, Shallow Hal and Dumb and Dumber To are to make a motion picture based on the Republican Convention which closes in Cleveland tonight.

Peter and Bobby Farrelly spoke EXCLUSIVELY to the Studio Exec about their new project. Peter spoke first:

We came down to the convention as we just wanted to soak up the vibe but pretty soon we just started filming. The original idea was to use that material as research material basically. And write a script off of that, exaggerating and what not for comic effect. It turns out that we can basically just use the footage we have. There is nothing that we can think of which is grosser or more comic than what we witnessed.

Bobby added:

If anything, we have too much material. I don’t know what’s funnier, Ted Cruz getting booed or Melania Trump copying Michelle Obama’s speech! Perhaps it’s Ben Carson insisting that Hillary Clinton is inspired by Lucifer, or Chris Christie performing some kind of mock trial of the former Secretary of State. It was sick and crazy and that’s coming from the guy who was involved in Movie 43.

The Republican Convention concludes this evening with a speech from Donald Trump.

HANEKE AND FARRELLY BROTHERS COLLABORATE ON FUNNIER GAMES

AUSTRIA – Famed Austrian auteur and misery Michael Haneke is to team up with some of the legends of American gross out comedy to remake Funny Games for the second time.

Having won the Palmes D’Or and the Oscars for his film Amour, Michael Haneke is considered by many to be at the top of his art house game. And so yesterday’s announcement came out of the blue, as – in a joint press conference with Pete and Bobby Farrelly, he announced a sequel to his only American made film, Funny Games, provisionally entitled Funnier Games.

The 2007 film which featured Naomi Watts and Tim Roth being terrorized by Michael Pitt and chum in white tennis toggs was something of a misstep for the director and he has since gone on record regretting the film, which was a remake of a film he had already made in German in 1997. The idea for a sequel came when the director saw the film again in a small Los Angeles theater.

Haneke recalled:

There was this raucous laughter coming from the back all the way through the film, and I thought how wonderful, finally someone who understands my admittedly bleak Austrian sense of humor.  After the film I followed the men who had been laughing and cornered them at the McDonald’s where they were drinking out of one soda carton with two straws.

‘We thought Mikey’s work was unbelievable, like totally,’ says Bobby.

‘Misunderstood,’ says Petey. ”The Seventh Continent? Hilarious. Hour of the Wolf? Hilarious. The White Ribbon? I pissed my pants it was so funny.’

‘He totally did,’ says Bobby. ‘He pissed his pants.’

The new film will feature Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey, killing children amidst hapless escapades and gross out humor.

‘He really did piss his pants,’ Bobby assured us. Again.

Funny Games will be released in 2017.
