LEE MAJORS TO PLAY THE ROCK IN WWE: THE MOVIE
HOLLYWOOD – Yesterdays announcement that Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock is to take on the role of Colt Stevens in McG’s big screen remake of the classic 80’s TV series The Fall Guy was front page news; but in a remarkable twist of fate the original star , Lee Majors, announced on Twitter this morning that he has recently signed up to play The Rock in Ron Howard’s upcoming WWE: The Movie.
The Studio Exec sat down for a brief interview with Majors during a break from his brutal training regime.
Mr Majors. You’ve kept a low profile recently. What have you been up to?
Well, I’m not the kind to kiss and tell, but I’ve been seen with Farrah. I’m never seen with anything less than a nine, so fine.
I see. Back in the 70’s and 80’s you were one of the biggest stars on TV . What do you remember from that period?
I’ve been on fire with Sally Field, gone fast with a girl named Bo, but somehow they just don’t end up as mine.
Tragic. You look in great shape. How hard has it been preparing to play The Rock?
It’s a death defyin’ life I lead,I take my chances. I die for a livin’ in the movies and TV. But the hardest thing I ever do. Is watch my leadin’ ladies, kiss some other guy while I’m bandagin’ my knee.
Are you saying you suffered an injury during training. How did it happen?
I might fall from a tall building,I might roll a brand new car. Cause I’m the unknown stuntman that made Redford such a star.
Whilst we are on the subject of your long standing claim that you were responsible for giving Robert Redford his big break. When I interviewed him earlier this year he claimed you are, and I quote, “A half-witted sex addict” and he strenuously denied you helped him out.
I never spent much time in school. But I taught ladies plenty. It’s true I hire my body out for pay, Hey Hey.
In your autobiography ‘ The Fallen Guy’ you say that you have had several brushes with death during you career. What can you tell me about those incidents?
I’ve gotten burned over Cheryl Tiegs, Blown up for Raquel Welch. But when I end up in the hay it’s only hay, Hey Hey.
Okay…Just one more question. Your role as The Rock is going to propel you back into the limelight. What are your plans for the future?
I might jump an open drawbridge, Or Tarzan from a vine. Cause I’m the unknown stuntman that makes Eastwood look so fine.
That all sounds very exciting. Thanks for the interview.
