GAME OF THRONES: SEASON 4: EPISODE 7
Every week we are going to have an episode review of Game of Thrones Season Four which will include SPOILERS for seasons One through to the last episode screened of Season Four.
WESTEROS – This latest episode ‘Mockingbird’ rbought a revelation: I’m beginning to warm to the Arya/the Hound ‘story’-line. Obviously there isn’t a story as such. Really Game of Thrones has for the most part become a sketch show. An SNL for the D&D crowd.
Arya and Hound wander endlessly while other characters seem to get from King’s Landing to the Wall via helicopter or something, but their double act is becoming more amusing every time. I’m not sure where they are and if they haven’t already killed the people they meet before. In this sense, they’re the most Beckett like characters: Waiting for Danerys.
Speaking of which, she got a bit of sweet off camera (!?) loving, almost admitting that she was pretty bored as well. Tyrion and Bronn had a nice scene, but still a bit of whimper following the dramatic peak of last week’s trial. Snow is back at the Wall and had a predictable ding dong with the guy who hates him. ‘We need to fill the tunnel in’ – ‘No we don’t’ – dramatic music. And the big lass and her new valet met someone from Season 2, episode I don’t f*cking remember who baked them a meaningful pastry.
